Republic of Korea (ROK) Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Kim Myung-soo, U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Dan Caine, and Japan Chief of Staff, Joint Staff Gen. Yoshida Yoshihide convened the 22nd Trilateral Chiefs of Defense (Tri-CHOD) Meeting on July 11, 2025, in Seoul. The three chiefs of defense recognized the importance of close trilateral cooperation in addressing security challenges on the Korean Peninsula, in the Indo-pacific and beyond.

Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman (SEAC) U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Troy E. Black delivered opening remarks to U.S., partner, and allied senior noncommissioned officers and petty officers during the KEYSTONE class’s visit to the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, June 3, 2025. KEYSTONE is the world’s premiere Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education course for service members selected to advise general and flag officers taught by the National Defense University.

Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Christopher W. Grady met with the U.K.’s Chief of the Defense Staff Adm. Sir Tony Radakin today at the Pentagon.

During their meeting, Adm. Grady and Adm. Radakin discussed several items of mutual security concern between the U.S. and the U.K.

The U.S. and U.K. are strong military partners and share a special relationship rooted in longstanding mutual support and cooperation.

Adm. Grady and Gen. Burkhard shared perspectives on the latest developments in Syria, as well as the Gaza and Lebanon ceasefire agreements. Additionally, the military leaders discussed ongoing deliberations regarding Ukraine.

Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Christopher W. Grady met with Saudi Arabia’s Chief of the General Staff Gen. Fayyadh Al Ruwaili yesterday at the Pentagon.

Adm. Grady and Gen. Al Ruwaili discussed the continued Houthi threat in the Middle East, the latest developments with the transition in Syria, the current progress with the ceasefire agreements in Lebanon and Gaza, and opportunities for further defense cooperation.  Additionally, Adm. Grady reaffirmed the U.S. commitment to the security of Saudi Arabia.

The U.S. and Saudi Arabia share a longstanding partnership and are committed to peace and security in the Middle East region.

Additionally, Gen. Brown emphasized the importance of domain awareness in their exclusive economic zone.
