TAMPA, Fla. – On Dec. 3, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced a new task force for the U.S. military’s first one-way-attack drone squadron based in the Middle East. 

CENTCOM launched Task Force Scorpion Strike (TFSS) four months after Secretary of War Pete Hegseth directed acceleration of the acquisition and fielding of affordable drone technology. TFSS is designed to quickly deliver low cost and effective drone capabilities into the hands of warfighters.

TAMPA, Fla. – Officials from U.S Central Command (CENTCOM) and the Kingdom of Bahrain opened the first a new bilateral Combined Command Post for air defense during a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Bahrain, Dec. 1.

Adm. Brad Cooper, CENTCOM commander, joined His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa opened the facility at Ras Al Bar Camp, underscoring the longstanding strategic defense partnership between the two countries.

TAMPA, Fla. – Forces from U.S Central Command (CENTCOM) and the Syrian Ministry of Interior located and destroyed more than 15 sites containing ISIS weapons caches in southern Syria, Nov. 24-27.

U.S. military personnel from Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolved (CJTF-OIR) worked with Syrian forces in identifying and eliminating the ISIS weapons storage facilities across the Rif Damashq province during multiple airstrikes and ground detonations.

TAMPA, Fla. – One month after achieving full operational capability, the U.S.-led Civil- Military Coordination Center (CMCC) has grown to include representatives from 50 partner nations and international organizations.

The CMCC, the main coordination hub for Gaza assistance, was established on Oct. 17, five days after world leaders signed a U.S.-brokered plan to permanently end the war between Israel and Hamas. The CMCC became fully operational a week later on Oct. 24 as international staff arrived at the center’s headquarters in Kiryat Gat, Israel.

TAMPA, Fla. — Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF) completed training at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California, Nov. 19.

RSLF personnel partnered with U.S. Army Central, the 3rd Security Forces Assistance Brigade, and the 1st Cavalry Division during a training rotation. More than 130 RSLF Soldiers trained in the United States with 12 M1 Abrams tanks and six M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicles shipped from Saudi Arabia.

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES — The Dubai Airshow 2025 roared to life this week as American air power took a leading role, captivating attendees with aerial demonstrations featuring the venerable B-52 Stratofortress, the cutting-edge F-35 Lightning II, the versatile F-16 Fighting Falcon and the capable U.S. Navy P-8 Poseidon. The displays highlighted the United States’ commitment to regional security and underscored the unmatched capabilities of American air power.

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – The Dubai Airshow 2025, one of the largest military expositions in the world, commenced today at Al Maktoum International Airport, United Arab Emirates. U.S. military personnel and aircraft from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army and U.S. Navy will be participating alongside global allies and partners.

The small unmanned aircraft systems flight, housed within the electronic warfare division of the 332nd Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron, made history in U.S. Air Forces Central Command by flying the first quadcopter drone in the area of responsibility, Nov. 5, 2025.
The team specializes in aerial defense through reconnaissance, target identification, and terrain observation by utilizing drones around base perimeters to better protect and defend personnel and assets.

TAMPA, Fla. – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces advised, assisted, and enabled more than 22 operations against ISIS with partners in Syria over the past month, diminishing the terrorist group’s ability to conduct local operations and export violence around the world.

Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) conducted the operations in coordination with Syrian partners from Oct. 1 to Nov. 6, resulting in five ISIS members killed and 19 captured.

TAMPA, Fla. – A U.S.-led combined joint task force validated Iraqi Security Forces’ (ISF) capacity to independently manage their combat strike process Oct. 27, marking a major milestone in Iraq’s transition to assuming a leading role in regional operations.

Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) validated the ISF’s certification of their strike capabilities during a capstone live-fire exercise in Iraq. ISF personnel successfully completed the targeting cycle under adverse, real-world conditions, demonstrating targeting proficiency without support from U.S. or Coalition personnel.
