BANYUWANGI, Indonesia — Forward-deployed U.S. Navy submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) departed East Java, Indonesia following a scheduled port visit, Aug. 15, 2025. Frank Cable is underway supporting 7th Fleet, the U.S. Navy’s largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, operating with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

APRA HARBOR, Guam — Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), flagship of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 5, embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, and cruiser USS Robert Smalls (CG 62) arrived in Guam for a scheduled port visit, August 17, while destroyer USS Shoup (DDG 86) visits Saipan.
