Bloomfield — Missing 17-year-old boy

The Hampton RCMP is asking for the public’s help locating a missing 17-year-old boy from Bloomfield, N.B.

Avery Dwayne Tulk was last seen on September 11, 2023, at a residence on Guthrie Road, in Bloomfield. He was reported missing to police the same day. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate him, but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and his family are concerned for his wellbeing.

Avery Dwayne Tulk is described as being approximately five feet 11 inches (180 centimetres) tall, and weighing approximately 190 pounds (86 kilograms). He has blonde hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap, a black and grey coat and blue pants.

Elmsdale — East Hants District RCMP charge man in relation to a string of break-ins in Elmsdale

East Hants District RCMP has charged a man after a string of break-ins occurred in an industrial park in Elmsdale.

On September 13, 2023, East Hants District RCMP responded to a report of a break-in at a business in an industrial park on Enterprise Way in Elmsdale. Through the course of the investigation, RCMP officers learned that seven businesses in total had been broken into in the early morning hours of September 13. During the break-ins tools, cash and alcohol were stolen. A suspect was identified early on in the investigation and RCMP officers learned that the suspect had been arrested for unrelated matters in the Halifax area.

Wayne Jesse Truen, 33, of Halifax, has been charged with Break and Enter and Commit (5 counts) and Break and Enter with Intent (2 counts). Truen will appear in Halifax Provincial Court later today.

Bay Roberts — Bay Roberts RCMP investigates break, enter and theft in South River

Bay Roberts RCMP is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred at the South River Ultramar on the Conception Bay Highway during the early morning hours of September 9, 2023. Police are looking to identify the suspect captured on surveillance footage.

Just before 7:00 a.m. on September 9, police received the report of the break and enter. Officers attended the scene and confirmed that a break and enter had occurred. Inside the business, a locked cabinet was damaged and a large quantity of cigarettes was taken from inside the cabinet.

Surveillance footage shows one suspect who fled the scene on foot and walked south along Route 70 (Conception Bay Highway) just after 2:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The suspect is described as tall and slender and was wearing a black sweater, a black puffy vest with a hole in the right shoulder, black jogging pants, red sneakers with red laces and white soles, and white cotton work gloves. See the attached photos.

Island Lake — Island Lake RCMP investigate arson

On September 13, 2023, at approximately 6:05 am, Island Lake RCMP received a report of an arson in the parking lot of the First Nation Safety Officer’s (FNSO) building, in St. Theresa Point First Nation.

It was reported that a FNSO truck was set on fire and it had spread to a second vehicle. Two snowmobiles and the building also sustained damage.

Officers attended and with the assistance of the FNSO’s, a suspect was identified.

Dan Taylor, 42, was arrested and charged with two counts of Arson and three counts of Mischief. He was remanded into custody.

Baie Verte — Search continues for missing fisherman in Fleur de Lys

The search for a missing fisherman off the coast of Fleur de Lys is continuing today. The man was one of four occupants on board a commercial cod fishing boat that sunk on Monday afternoon. Last night, the Maritime Rescue Sub-Centre advised it would be ceasing its search, at which time the RCMP assumed lead of the investigation as a missing persons case at sea.

Today, searches of the shoreline and water are continuing on land and in the air with resources from the Canadian Coast Guard, the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team, Civil Air Search and Rescue Association, as well as search and rescue teams from Deer Lake, Grand Falls-Windsor and Springdale. Searchers from Deer Lake Search and Rescue will be exploring the use of side-scan sonar equipment.

The investigation into the cause of the sunken vessel is continuing in partnership with Transport Canada and Workplace NL.

Baie Verte RCMP thanks residents of Fleur de Lys and surrounding communities for their overwhelming support as police and partner agencies continue the search for the missing man.

Upper Gagetown — RCMP seeking public’s help following assault

The Oromocto RCMP is asking for the public’s help following an assault on two youth in Upper Gagetown, N.B.

On September 2, 2023, at approximately 1:40 a.m., members of the Oromocto RCMP detachment responded to a report that two male youth, aged 17 and 18, were chased by a group of approximately 15 other teenagers. The 17-year-old was able to get away from the group, but the 18-year-old was assaulted before he got away. The teenagers then fled the scene before police arrived.

With assistance from RCMP Police Dog Services, police were able to locate the 18-year-old, who was transported to hospital with what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are now asking anyone that may have witnessed the incident, or who may have information that could help further the investigation, to contact the Oromocto RCMP at 506-357-4300. Tracadie — RCMP seeking public’s help following theft from a vehicle

The Tracadie RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance to identify a person of interest following a theft from a vehicle in Tracadie, N.B.

The theft occurred on August 22, 2023, between the hours of 7:20 and 8:30 p.m., at a business on rue de l’Église in Tracadie. An individual stole two bank cards from a vehicle that was parked in the parking lot of the business.

The individual is described as being a man in his mid to late 40’s, with grey and white hair, and grey and white beard. He has a medium build, and was wearing a Carhartt t-shirt.

Mount Uniacke — Missing youth: Help the RCMP find Sesily Coburn

st Hants District RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 17-year-old Sesily Coburn who is missing from Mount Uniacke and was last seen in Windsor.

Coburn is described as 5-foot-3, 100lbs, has brown hair and brown eyes. No clothing description is available.

Thompson — Update – Thompson RCMP investigating homicide

On September 11, 2023, Ashley Clipping was arrested by the Brandon Police Service and was remanded into custody.

Earlier this afternoon, the 16-year-old male youth turned himself in to the Thompson RCMP and will be remanded into custody.

Note to media: As per the Youth Criminal Justice Act, an ex-parte application was made by the RCMP to a Provincial Judge to publish information that identifies a young person as having committed or allegedly committed an indictable offence under the Act.

The application was approved as there is reason to believe that the young person may be a danger to others and that the publication of information is necessary to assist in apprehending the young person.

Investigators have determined that four male individuals became involved in an altercation with two other males at an apartment complex on Ashberry Place in Thompson. The altercation led to the shooting of the 33-year-old.

RCMP have arrested and charged the following in relation to this homicide:
– Noah Crane, 26, of Oxford House, charged with 2nd Degree murder.
– David Linklater, 20, of Thompson, charged with Robbery and Assault Causing Bodily Harm (x2).

– Ashley Clipping, 34, of Winnipeg, charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm (x2).
– A 16-year-old male, from Oxford House, charged with Manslaughter

On August 30, 2023, at approximately 7:30 pm, Thompson RCMP responded to a weapons’ call at a residence located on Ashberry Place, in Thompson.

Officers arrived on scene and located a 33-year-old male who had been shot. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Thompson RCMP, along with Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.

South Greenwood — Kings District RCMP investigating fatal crash

Kings District RCMP is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Hall Rd. in South Greenwood.

On September 13, 2023, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Kings District RCMP, fire and EHS, responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hall Rd. in South Greenwood. RCMP officers learned that a car had been travelling on Hall Rd. when it left the road and came to rest in a ditch.

The driver, and lone occupant, a 66-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Hall Rd. was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time.
