Headline: Man dies after suspected collision with a vehicle in Ladbroke Grove
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a suspected collision with a vehicle in Ladbroke Grove.
At some point between 17:15hrs and 17:30hrs on Friday, 26 January, an 86-year-old man is believed to have been struck by a vehicle on Ladbroke Grove close to the Sainsbury’s Superstore. The man may have been walking on a zebra crossing at the time.
The driver of the vehicle is not believed to have stopped. However, officers have been advised that a second car may have stopped and taken the victim to hospital.
The injured man died at hospital on Tuesday, 13 February. His next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination and formal identification will be arranged in due course.
Detectives from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.
They would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time who may have information regarding the circumstances of the collision.
