Appeal for missing elderly woman

Police are appealing for help to find an elderly woman who is missing after walking out of hospital.

Ellen Ward, 81, was last seen at approximately 15:00hrs on Monday, 12 February at University College Hospital.

She is believed to have been sighted on Gower Street at 16:35hrs heading towards Kings Cross.

Mrs Ward is described as white, 5ft 3ins tall, of slim build with grey hair.

When last seen, she was wearing a distinction white coat with large black buttons, beige trousers and brown boots. She also has a brace on her right leg.

Officers are growing increasingly concerned for Mrs Ward’s welfare as she has dementia and is likely to be confused.
