Reward of up to $25,000 offered for information leading to arrest of Alfredo Arredondo

The FBI San Francisco Division and the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Alfredo Arredondo, who is wanted in connection with the murder of Adolfo Davila on April 5, 2021, in Hollister, California. Arredondo ambushed Davila with gunfire, killing him after the two had an argument at a Hollister restaurant. Last week, Davila would have turned 33 years old. To this day, his family continues to seek justice.

As part of the FBI’s nationwide initiative targeting violent crime, Operation Summer Heat, the FBI is renewing attention to this case and offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading directly to Arredondo’s arrest. Investigators believe Arredondo may have fled to Mexico. He also has ties to Merced, Modesto, and Hollister, California. He is considered armed, dangerous, and an escape risk.

“Alfredo Arredondo has been on the run for too long, and the FBI will not stop until he is brought to justice,” said Sanjay Virmani, special agent in charge of the FBI San Francisco Division. “Adolfo Davila should be celebrating his 33rd birthday with his family this month—not being remembered as a victim of senseless violence. We are asking anyone with information to come forward. Even the smallest tip could help us apprehend this dangerous fugitive and bring a measure of justice to Adolfo’s loved ones.”

Members of the public with information about Arredondo’s whereabouts are urged to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov. Tips may remain anonymous.

The FBI, together with our state and local partners, remains committed to holding violent fugitives accountable and ensuring the safety of communities across Northern California.
