A serving Met officer has been charged with misconduct in public office.
PC Peter Woodfine, attached to South Area Command Unit, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 20 August, charged with one count of misconduct in public office. He was charged on Friday, 18 July.
The charge relates to a series of incidents between June 2023 and September 2023 where it is alleged that PC Woodfine engaged in an inappropriate personal relationship with a member of the public while acting in his capacity as a police officer.
The alleged offence took place when he was on duty.
The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards have been informed.
He is currently suspended from duties.
