Saint-Maure — RCMP seeking public’s help following a firearm-related incident

The Campbellton RCMP is asking for the public’s help as part of its investigation into a firearm-related incident in Saint-Maure, N.B.

On November 30, 2024, at approximately 12:39 a.m., members of the Campbellton RCMP responded to a report of a firearm discharge and assault at a residence on Marcoux Street, in Saint-Maure. Prior to police arriving, two individuals had fled the scene in a vehicle. No one was injured and it was determined that it was an isolated incident.

Shortly after, the suspect vehicle was located in the Eel River Crossing area, where it failed to stop for police and intentionally backed into the police cruiser. The suspect vehicle was followed from Miller Road in Eel River Crossing to Drapeau Street in Balmoral, where a second police cruiser attempted to deploy a tire deflation device, and was also intentionally struck. The suspect vehicle then fled the area. None of the police officers sustained any injuries.

Police are now releasing surveillance footage photos of the suspects in hopes that someone may recognize them.

The first individual is described as a man, in his mid-forties, approximately five feet, five inches (165 centimetres) tall, medium build, with short dark-coloured hair, and a short beard. The second individual is described as a man, in his forties, with a medium build, and a short beard.

The incident did not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready.
