On October 31, 2024, the Iqaluit RCMP received a complaint from a local resident who stated they had found a needle in their child’s Halloween Candy. The child was unharmed, and had been Trick or Treating in the Tundra Ridge area of Iqaluit. The needle was found in a Cadbury Egg candy.
The Nunavut RCMP want to remind all residence to inspect their children’s candy and to report any unusual candies to the RCMP.
