Three drivers were arrested for various impaired driving offences by Bay Roberts RCMP over the weekend.
Just before 3:00 a.m., on August 10, Bay Roberts RCMP conducted a traffic stop on the Conception Bay Highway on Route 70 in Bay Roberts. The novice driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old woman, showed signs of impairment. Her licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded.
On August 11, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Bay Roberts RCMP stopped a vehicle on the Conception Bay Highway in Bay Roberts. The driver, a 27-year-old male, failed a roadside breath test and was arrested for impaired operation. At the detachment, the man provided breath samples that were over two times the legal limit. He will appear in court at a later date. His licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded.
Shortly before 5:00 p.m. on August 12, Bay Roberts RCMP responded to a motorcycle crash in Marysvale. The driver, a 40-year-old man, showed signs of alcohol impairment, failed a roadside breath test and was arrested. At the detachment, the man provided further breath samples that were above the legal limit. He will appear in court at a later date. His licence was suspended and the vehicle was impounded.
