A 38-year-old man, from Wilmot, and a 30-year-old woman, from Upper Kent, have been arrested following an investigation in connection with two stolen motorcycles recovered in Wilmot, N.B.

On August 7, 2024, between 6:30 a.m. and 7:20 a.m., members of the Oromocto RCMP detachment received two separate reports of stolen motorcycles, both from the same neighbourhood in Oromocto.

Through their investigation, police identified an address of interest in Wilmot, near Hartland. Later that day, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Wilmot Road. Both motorcycles were located and recovered at the residence, and a man and woman were arrested at the scene without incident.

Both individuals were later released on conditions, and will appear in Woodstock Provincial Court at a later date.

Members of the West District Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), Police Dog Services (PDS), and Emergency Response Team (ERT) assisted with the search.

The New Brunswick RCMP is committed to intelligence led policing, and this investigation is the latest in a series of police actions aimed at reducing property crimes in the province. The public plays an important role in helping achieve positive outcomes such as this one, and the Western Valley Region RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in recovering this stolen property.

The investigation is ongoing.
