On July 21, 2024 at approximately 1:30 pm, Carcross RCMP responded to a report of a single motorcycle collision at kilometre 130 of the South Klondike Highway. The roadway was reduced to a single lane of traffic until 5 pm. A 75-year-old Whitehorse resident was found to be deceased on scene by attending medical personnel. RCMP and Yukon Coroner’s Service offer their sincere condolences to family and friends. Inquiries can be sent to Yukon Coroner’s Service, however, no further information will be released at this time.
