PORT VILA, Vanuatu (July 16, 2024) – U.S. Navy Cmdr. Antonio Roy, of San Fabian, Philippines, observes Dr. Minado Paul, outpatient clinic, assessing a patient. Commander Roy: “We are learning more from them than they are learning from us. How they adapted to their circumstances has allowed them to come to the same diagnosis, despite lacking sophisticated medical equipment, such as CAT scans.” U. S. Navy visited the Port Vila Central Hospital to support Pacific Partnerships 24-2. Pacific Partnership is the U. S. Navy’s largest humanitarian and civic assistance mission with partner-nations, non-governmental organizations, and other government agencies to execute a variety of humanitarian civic action missions across the Indo-Pacific. The annual mission is designed to strengthen relationships and improve U.S. and partner-capacity to deliver humanitarian assistance and disaster-relief preparedness. (U. S.
