Kings District RCMP charge woman with firearms offences
July 15, 2024, Eglington, PEI – The Kings District RCMP has charged a woman with firearms offences after an arrest at a home in Eglington.
On July 14, 2024, the Kings District RCMP, responded to a firearm and threats complaint at a residence in Eglington PE. A 46-year-old Kings County woman was safely arrested and a firearm was seized.
On July 14, Rachel Louise Perry, 46, of Eglington, was arrested following a report of threats and possession of a firearm. Perry has been charged with uttering threats, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unlawful storage of a firearm and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Perry will appear in Provincial Court later today.
“Any complaint involving a firearm has the potential for serious outcomes. RCMP, through the use of tactical equipment, training and the use of specialized units like the police dog service, were able to safely make an arrest.”
