Natuashish — Search efforts continuing for missing man on snowmobile near Mistastin Lake

Search efforts are continuing for a 41-year-old man who was last seen on the morning of June 3, 2024, departing a cabin on a snowmobile in the area of Mistastin Lake.

Yesterday, aerial searches by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, Government Air Services’ Emergency Services Division and Air Borealis were conducted. Ground searches were also completed by search and rescue teams from Natuashish and Sheshatshiu, both on foot and using all-terrain vehicles.

Today, aerial and ground searches, using a number of resources, are continuing as the man and his snowmobile remain missing.

The investigation is continuing.
