Airdrie RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit lays drug charges. On Feb. 23, 2024, Airdrie RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit executed search warrants at two Airdrie residences. RCMP located Psilocybin, oxycodone, and cannabis. An 18-year-old individual, a resident of Airdrie, has been charged with the following:
- 2 x Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act)
- Selling Cannabis to minor (Cannabis Act)
- Possession of Cannabis for the purpose of trafficking (Cannabis Act)
- 2 x Breach of a Probation Order (Criminal Code)
- 3 x Breach of a Release Order (Criminal Code)
The 18-year-old individual is currently on release with conditions with a court appearance in Airdrie at the Alberta Court of Criminal Justice on May 16, 2024.
