On March 8, 2024, members of U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) districts across the country participated in the USMS Fallen Heroes Honor Run. This nationwide event, now in its eighth year, honors the brave law enforcement officers across the country who made the ultimate sacrifice.

The USMS Fallen Heroes Honor Run is intentionally challenging and allows participants to reflect on the fallen heroes who were taken far too soon. Participants are encouraged to run in their tactical vest with plates.

The USMS Fallen Heroes Honor Run is designed to bring communities together and offer time to reflect on the sacrifices of those who gave their all for the safety and wellbeing of others. All USMS district and Headquarters personnel, judicial family, law enforcement partners, and the broader community are invited to participate and honor the fallen.

Over the past few years, districts have incorporated ceremonies along the run’s route, or at the end of their route. Several districts invited local Gold Star families to attend and share remarks reflecting on the lives of their family members and heroes who have passed. In 2024, as many as 84 USMS districts participated. This event is a time to remember the USMS commitment to honoring the memory of these brave men and women.
