A teenager will appear in court charged with a murder in Hackney.
The 17-year-old boy will appear in custody at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 21 February charged with murder. He was arrested by detectives on Monday, 19 February.
This relates to an incident in Hackney Road, E2 on Saturday, 17 February when 17-year-old Nathan Bawuah died after being stabbed. Nathan’s family has been informed and continue to receive support from specialist officers. Formal identification awaits.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 21 February at Poplar Mortuary.
