Middleton — Southwest Nova Street Crime Enforcements Units charge four people with drug offences

Southwest Nova Street Crime Enforcements Units (SCEU) have charged four people with drug offences after a search warrant was executed at a home in Middleton.

On January 23, 2024, officers of the Southwest Nova SCEU, with the assistance of the Annapolis District RCMP, executed a search warrant at a home on School St.

At the home, police safely arrested three men and one woman then located and seized approximately 30g of cocaine, 160g of methamphetamine and baggies.

Further to the search at the home, officer also found 80g of methamphetamine hidden in a compartment of a black Dodge Charger which was parked in the driveway.

Tyler McPherson, 26, from Middleton, Nicole Oakes, 34, from Middleton, Gerald Phillips, 51, from Nictaux Falls and Joshua Brooks, 34, from New Albany have all been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts each).

Nicole Oakes was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Failure to Comply with Conditions (two counts).

Joshua Brooks was additionally charged with Failure to Comply with Conditions.

Oakes, McPherson and Brooks were all remanded. Phillips was later released on conditions.

They will be appearing at a later date in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court.
