One of the two victims involved in the incident on January 19, 2024, succumbed to injuries he received after being stabbed outside in the 300 block of Edwards Avenue in The Pas, Manitoba. He has been identified as Eugene Michelle, 41, of The Pas.
The second victim, a 37-year-old male, remains in stable condition in Winnipeg hospital.
Two arrests have been made: a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old female. The male is charged with Second Degree Murder in the death of Eugene Michelle. The female is charged with Manslaughter. Both remain in custody.
RCMP Major Crime Services is in the community and continue to look for a third individual involved in the stabbings. Pierre Young, 33, from Easterville, has been charged with Manslaughter and is wanted in connection to this incident. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Young is described as 5’9″ tall, 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is considered dangerous and should not be approached.

On January 19, 2024, at approximately 3:50 pm, The Pas RCMP responded to a serious stabbing incident in the 300 block of Edwards Avenue. Two people were severely injured.
No further reports of violence have been received. However, one or more suspects remain at large. The RCMP is asking residents of The Pas and area to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity.
The investigation is in its very early stages and police remain on scene at this time. People are asked to avoid the area if possible and motorists are asked to be aware of emergency personnel working on scene.
