Search operations began last evening, December 29, 2023, and continue today in the area of Cape Pond Road in Tors Cove to locate a missing hunter, 38-year-old Cheyenne Griffin. Ferryland RCMP received the missing person report at approximately 7:30 p.m. last night.
RCMP police officers in Avalon East, Ground Search and Rescue, Police Dog Services and air services are engaged. Owners of remote cabins in the general area are asked to contact the RCMP at 709-229-3892 with details of locations of their cabins so that they can be checked. As well, anyone with any information on the possible location of Cheyenne Griffin is asked to call the RCMP.
