On December 23, 2023, at approximately 11:15 pm, Norway House RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Osborne Street in the community.
While speaking with the driver, officers noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view in the vehicle.
All four occupants were arrested, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of over 1kg of crack cocaine, Canadian currency, drug paraphernalia, and a baseball bat. The drugs seized have an approximate street value of over $100,000.
A 49-year-old male, a 37- and 31-year-old female, and a 16-year-old male were all charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking.
All suspects were released on an Undertaking.
