Beaver Harbour — Update, December 20, 2023: 33-year-old man dies following off-road vehicle crash

Update, December 20, 2023: Thanks to information from the public, police were able to identify the vehicle that had stopped at the scene, and have since spoken to the individuals involved. Police are now asking anyone that lives in the Beaver Harbour area, that may have security camera footage of ATV(s) travelling in the area around the time of the crash, to contact the St. George RCMP at 506-755-1130. A 33-year-old man from Beaver Harbour, N.B., has died following an off-road vehicle crash in the community.

On December 10, 2023, at approximately 9:45 p.m., members of the St. George RCMP detachment responded to a report of an ATV in the ditch on Deadmans Harbour Road, between the communities of Blacks Harbour and Beaver Harbour.

The driver and sole occupant of the ATV was located deceased nearby.

Members of the Eastern Charlotte Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s Office is assisting with the ongoing investigation.

The matter is currently under investigation by the West District RCMP. Police are interested in speaking to the occupants of a small black or silver car that briefly stopped at the crash scene who spoke to other witnesses, as it is believed that these persons may have information that would further the investigation.
