December 19, 2023, Charlottetown – PEI RCMP continue their investigation into the disappearance of 17-year-old Tyson Blair MacDonald. The PEI RCMP Major Crime Unit is leading many RCMP resources in this criminal code investigation. Today the RCMP helicopter and the RCMP Atlantic Divisions Tactical Support Group have been engaged in searching for evidence in areas of Kings County.
The RCMP Atlantic Divisions Tactical Support Group is a unit within the RCMP made up of officers from across Atlantic Canada who’s many duties include conducting evidence searches.
The RCMP Major Crime Unit is being assisted by the PEI RCMP General Investigations Section, PEI RCMP Digital Forensic Services, PEI Forensic Identification Section, PEI RCMP Police Dog Service, PEI RCMP Drone Operators, and PEI RCMP Kings District Officers.
“The RCMP on PEI are utilizing all available resources to help bring a conclusion to this heart-wrenching situation”, said Supt Kevin Lewis.
