Wapske — Man and woman arrested following seizure of drugs, firearms

A 60-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman, both from Wapske, N.B., have been arrested following a seizure of drugs and firearms in the community.

On December 12, 2023, at approximately 8 a.m., members of the Western Valley Region and Perth-Andover RCMP detachments executed a search warrant at a residence on Route 390 in Wapske, in connection with an ongoing investigation. During the search, police seized firearms, quantities of what is believed to be methamphetamine and hydromorphone, and stolen property.

A 60-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman were both arrested at the scene. The woman was later released, and is scheduled to appear in Woodstock Provincial Court on March 26, 2024.

On December 13, Patrick Tatlock appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court and was charged with:

  • Two counts of possession of a weapon contrary to an order
  • Two counts of possession of property obtained by crime
  • Two counts of possession of a vehicle with an altered VIN
  • Unsafe storage of firearms

He was remanded into custody, and is scheduled to return to court on January 2, 2024.

The investigation is ongoing.
