La Loche RCMP would like to advise the public that an arrest has been made in relation to reports of online threats made on social media.
On October 30, 2023, La Loche RCMP received multiple reports of online threats against a school in La Loche.
Through investigation, an adult male suspect was identified, located and arrested October 30 by La Loche RCMP. No charges have been laid as the investigation is still ongoing. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
At this time there is no risk to the school or public resulting from this incident. If this changes, we will notify the public immediately.
