Holyrood RCMP arrested a 40-year-old woman on Sunday, October 29, 2023 as the result of a residential crash on the Conception Bay South Highway.

Just before 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, Holyrood RCMP were patrolling the community of Avondale when they discovered that a car had recently left the roadway and crashed into the driveway of a residence, where it hit brush, trees and two parked vehicles.

The female driver of the crashed vehicle exhibited signs of impairment and was taken back to the detachment to provide further breath samples, which were above the legal limit. She was arrested and faces charges of impaired operation of motor vehicle. Her driver’s license was suspended and her vehicle was seized and impounded. She was released to appear in court at a later date.
