On October 25, 2023, at approximately 8:05 pm, officers from Portage la Prairie RCMP, along with CP Police, EMS and the Fire Department, responded to a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a westbound train at the crossing located on 3rd Street NE in Portage la Prairie.
Officers attended and located a 30-year-old female, from Portage la Prairie, who was pronounced deceased on scene.
Portage la Prairie RCMP, along with CP Police, continue to investigate.
