Old Crow — Update on the search for a missing person in Old Crow

On Friday, October 20^th, the search for the missing elder in Old Crow was completed. Sadly, Freddy Frost was located deceased. Our hearts go out to his friends, family and community for their loss.

The Yukon RCMP would like to extend our thanks for the widespread support and engagement in the search efforts. Yukon Search and Rescue Volunteers, Horizon Helicopters, Capital Helicopters and the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation Citizens and leadership worked tirelessly on the search for Freddy Frost. The support to the community from across the Yukon and further, including search volunteers from Fort MacPherson, NWT, was remarkable.

The extraordinary level of support and feeling of community which was brought to the search, continues as the community of Old Crow prepares for Freddy Frost’s service tomorrow, which will be followed by a community feast in his honour.
