Boundary Creek — 82-year-old man dies following single-vehicle collision with pedestrian

An 82-year-old man from Boundary Creek, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle collision with a pedestrian in the community.

On October 13, 2023, at approximately 11 p.m., members of the Caledonia Region RCMP, Moncton Fire Department, and Ambulance New Brunswick, responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and a pickup truck on Highway 2, in Boundary Creek. The pedestrian, an 82-year-old man, died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck was uninjured.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the pickup truck, travelling eastbound on Highway 2, struck the man, who was on the highway at that time.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s office are both assisting with the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
