Oak Point — 30-year-old man dies following single-vehicle crash

A 30-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Oak Point, N.B.

On October 13, 2023, at approximately 5:13 a.m., members of the Neguac RCMP detachment, Neguac Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 11 in Oak Point. A 30-year-old man from Miramichi, who was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The crash is believed to have occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, left the road and was ejected from the vehicle.

A member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s office is assisting with the investigation. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s exact cause of death.

The investigation is ongoing.
