Deer Lake — Public assistance sought to identify and locate two persons and stolen truck (Updated)

UPDATE: The stolen vehicle has been located. RCMP NL thanks the public for their assistance with this matter.

Deer Lake RCMP is assisting an investigation by Nova Scotia RCMP into a pickup truck that was stolen yesterday from a vehicle dealership in Nova Scotia. The truck, a 2023 white Dodge Ram Power Wagon Crew Cab with no attached license plate, was last seen heading east on the Trans Canada Highway in the area of Birchy Narrows on the west coast, after fleeing from the RCMP at a traffic stop. The male driver and female passenger appeared to be the only occupants. In the interest of public safety, police did not pursue the vehicle.

Police are looking to identify the two individuals and to locate them and the stolen pickup truck. See images attached.
