Elk Point RCMP, along with the Eastern Alberta District RCMP, would like to recognize several partners and community members for their efforts in locating the missing five-year-old.
Thank you to the Frog Lake First Nation community, including Elected Officials and Elders, for their countless hours on the ground over the past two days. Thank you to the Alberta Search and Rescue Association and their member teams; to the Canadian Armed Forces for assisting in the search, and to the RCMP Officers from several detachment areas, including Saskatchewan RCMP and Alberta RCMP specialty units. “To all of those who assisted with this search, your tireless efforts are recognized” said Chief Superintendent Gary Graham, Commander of the Eastern Alberta District RCMP.

Elk Point RCMP request public assistance in locating missing child – Update #2
Elk Point RCMP are pleased to report that the five-year-old child has been located safe. The child was located a few kilometres from his home and will be seeking medical attention for exposure to the elements.
The RCMP would like to thank the public for their outpouring of support and hours spent searching, the media for spreading the word, and the Edmonton Police Service for their assistance.

Elk Point RCMP request public assistance in locating missing child – Update
Elk Point RCMP are still searching for the five-year-old child.
Since yesterday evening, assistance has come from Edmonton Police Service Air 1 helicopter, Alberta RCMP Air Services helicopter, Alberta RCMP Police Dog Services as well as more than 100 members the public.
Currently teams from Bonnyville, Cold Lake and Lac La Biche have been dispatched to assist. RCMP Police Dog Services are still on scene as well as members from Elk Point RCMP Detachment and volunteers from the public.
If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of the child, please immediately contact the Elk Point RCMP Detachment at 780-724-3964.

Elk Point RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating missing a five-year-old male. The child was last seen in his residence on Frog Lake First Nation at approximately 2:30 p.m., on Sept. 25, 2023. Elk Point RCMP would like to locate the child, and reunite him with his family.
He is described as:
- 3 feet 6 inches tall
- 60 pounds
- Red hair
- Pale complexion
- Non-verbal
The child was last seen wearing a light blue Nike sweater and Paw Patrol pyjama bottoms.
