The Oromocto RCMP is asking for the public’s help following an assault on two youth in Upper Gagetown, N.B.
On September 2, 2023, at approximately 1:40 a.m., members of the Oromocto RCMP detachment responded to a report that two male youth, aged 17 and 18, were chased by a group of approximately 15 other teenagers. The 17-year-old was able to get away from the group, but the 18-year-old was assaulted before he got away. The teenagers then fled the scene before police arrived.
With assistance from RCMP Police Dog Services, police were able to locate the 18-year-old, who was transported to hospital with what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are now asking anyone that may have witnessed the incident, or who may have information that could help further the investigation, to contact the Oromocto RCMP at 506-357-4300. The investigation is ongoing.
