September 6, 2023 Stratford – Stratford RCMP are investigating incidents where walkers were assaulted.
Yesterday at 12:15 p.m. a woman was walking on Kinlock Road in Stratford when she was approached by an unknown man who tried to hug her. She stepped away but he again tried to hug her, she left without injury.
On September 5, 2023 Stratford RCMP responded to a woman who was assaulted on Kinlock Road near the intersection of Stratford Road at approximately 12:15 p.m. The woman reported that as she was walking a man walking in the opposite direction came up to her a tried to hug her. She backed up but he continued to try and hug her. She left the area uninjured.
The man is described as being of smaller stature, in his sixties, of Asian descent, wearing a straw style beige hat, pants and a button up shirt.
Police have also received two additional complaints, similar in nature, concerning uninvited hugs from an unknown man while walking in Stratford.
