On July 7, 2026, Kelowna RCMP responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 800-block of Baillie Avenue.
Frontline officers attended and located a deceased female in the back of a vehicle. The circumstances of her death were determined to be suspicious.
A male, known to the victim, was taken into custody at the scene and has since been released with a number of reporting conditions.
The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit has taken conduct of the investigation and is actively working to determine the events leading up to her death.
