Newfoundland and Labrador RCMP continues to investigate a break and enter to the Lethbridge Newfoundland Power substation on November 3, 2025 and theft of copper from its live power infrastructure. Police are now turning to the public to help identify an individual observed on video surveillance.

Tampering with the high-voltage electricity system is extremely dangerous, as contact with any high-voltage equipment can result in serious injury or death. It creates serious safety risks not only for the vandals, but for employees, contractors, and to the general public. Always obey all safety signs and warnings around electrical facilities and equipment.
