Appeal following serious collision

Police are appealing for information following a collision in Lewisham.

At around 20:30hrs on Sunday, 3 August police responded to reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian on Lewisham High Street, SE13, close to McDonald’s.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene.

The pedestrian, a 51-year-old woman was treated by paramedics and later taken to hospital where her condition was assessed to be life-threatening.

Her family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the collision.

Detective Sergeant Rob Groombridge, from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We urge anyone with any information to please get in touch, even the smallest bit of detail could be helpful to our investigation. If you saw what happened but have not yet contacted police please contact us.”
