U.S. Marshals, Howard County PD Search for Alleged Columbia Mall Shooter

Washington, DC – The U.S. Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, along with the Howard County Police Department, is looking for the suspect in a July 27, 2024, fatal shooting at The Mall in Columbia, Maryland.

William Marshall III aka “Junior,” 18, of Columbia, is wanted for first-degree murder and related charges, and a reward of up to $30,000 for information leading to his arrest.

Marshall allegedly targeted the victim, 17-year-old Angelo Little, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives believe the suspect and victim knew each other.

Police on Aug. 5 released surveillance video that shows the suspect’s movements through the mall leading up to and after the shooting. Through continued investigation, detectives identified Marshall as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

The U.S. Marshals Service has elevated the fugitive investigation to major status and has added $20,000 to the $10,000 offered by Howard County Police for information that leads to Marshall’s arrest.

Marshall is a Black man, stands 5 feet 11 inches and weighs approximately 145 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He is considered a potential threat to the public due to the nature of his alleged crime.
