Suspect Wanted in Texas Christmas Eve Murder Arrested by U.S. Marshals

Conneaut, OH – Yesterday, members of the U.S. Marshals led, Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Quinton Gaines Jr., 18. Gaines was wanted by the Pasadena Police Department in Harris County, Texas for capital murder.

According to the Pasadena Police Department, on December 24, 2024, officers responded to a shooting incident that had occurred in a parking lot near the 4100 block of Young Street, Pasadena, Harris County, Texas. When officers arrived, they located a Chazz Williams, 26, who had suffered several fatal gunshot wounds while sitting inside a vehicle.

Quinton Gaines, 18, was later identified as a suspect in this fatal shooting incident and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Yesterday, members of the NOVFTF, Conneaut Police Department and Ashtabula SWAT, arrested Gaines at a residence located in the 500 block of Madison Street, Conneaut, Ohio.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott stated, “Strong working relationships between the United States Marshals Service in Texas and here in northern Ohio resulted in the arrest of this fleeing fugitive. The reach of the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force is nationwide, and our officers will relentlessly pursue these fugitives thousands of miles away.”
