Whitehorse — Traffic collision at Heron Drive and Hamilton Boulevard

On January 14, 2025 at approximately 3:23 pm, Whitehorse RCMP, responded to a motor vehicle collision involving one vehicle that struck two children on bicycles.

RCMP along with Whitehorse Fire Department, Bylaw and Emergency Medical Services responded to the collision. The road was closed for the purposes of an investigation, which included a traffic collision analyst.

Hamilton Boulevard was closed from the traffic circle at McIntyre Drive to Falcon Drive for approximately 4 hours. The children were both transported to Whitehorse General Hospital.

RCMP continue to investigate and can advise that drug or alcohol impairment is not a factor in the collision.
