A 60-year-old woman from Moncton, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle collision with a pedestrian in the community.
On December 31, 2024, at approximately 10:48 a.m., members of the Codiac Regional RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at a business on Mountain Road, in Moncton. The pedestrian was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was not injured. On January 3, 2025, the victim died as a result of her injuries.
The collision is believed to have occurred when the pedestrian was walking to her vehicle and was struck by the driver of a vehicle who did not see her.
Members of the Moncton Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s office and an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
