Harbour Grace — Harbour Grace RCMP responds to report of suspected impaired driver, man arrested

A 48-year-old man was arrested on December 1, 2024, for impaired driving by Harbour Grace RCMP following the report of a suspected impaired driver.

Shortly before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, Harbour Grace RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver in Carbonear. Police responded and located the described vehicle. The driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and failed a roadside breath test and was arrested. Back at the detachment, the driver provided breath samples that were above the provincial limit. The vehicle was seized and impounded and the man’s licence was suspended.
