PEI RCMP arrested four impaired driver this weekend including:
November 29, 2024
- 1:42 a.m. Read Drive Summerside, RCMP located a car parked in the middle of the road, this led to a 20-year-old driver being arrested for impaired driving by alcohol.
- 10:36 p.m. St Felix, West Prince RCMP stopped a truck for speeding which led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man for impaired driving by alcohol.
November 30, 2024
- 01:38 a.m. Lower Freetown, East Prince RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash that saw the vehicle travel 50 feet off the road and land into a field. A 62-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was arrested for impaired driving by alcohol.
- 11:50 p.m. Bonshaw, Queens RCMP received a report of an iPhone crash alert. The investigation did not reveal a crash but a 44-year-old man associated to the phone was located and arrested for impaired driving by alcohol.
The total arrests by PEI RCMP for impaired driving in November was 10 and the total for this year so far is 222. In 2023, RCMP made over 230 impaired driving arrests.
