Village-Saint-Laurent — RCMP seize drugs and firearm; two individuals arrested

The New Brunswick RCMP has seized a quantity of drugs and a firearm, and two individuals have been arrested in connection with a drug investigation in Village-Saint-Laurent, N.B.

On November 22, 2024, members of the New Brunswick RCMP Northeast Crime Reduction Unit and the Neguac Detachment executed a search warrant in connection with the investigation at a residence on Route 11, in Village-Saint-Laurent.

During the search, police seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, percocet and cocaine along with drug paraphernalia, numerous prohibited weapons and a restricted firearm.

A 48-year-old man from Village-Saint-Laurent, N.B., and a 19-year-old man from Esgenoôpetitj First Nation, N.B., were arrested at the scene without incident. The 48-year-old man was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. The 19-year-old man was also later released.
