Moncton — Man arrested following drug seizure

A 28-year-old man from Moncton, N.B., has been arrested following a drug seizure in Moncton.

On August 15, 2024, members of the Codiac Regional RCMP arrested a 28-year-old man outside of a business on Elmwood Drive in Moncton, who was wanted by police in connection with an ongoing investigation. The man’s vehicle was seized by police following the arrest.

On August 22, 2024, the Codiac Regional RCMP executed a search warrant on the vehicle as part of the investigations. During the search, police seized quantities of what are believed to be cocaine, diazepam tablets, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and money.

The 28-year-old man remains in custody on unrelated matters, and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
