PEI RCMP are asking the public for any information they may have regarding a fire at a cottage on MacPhee Avenue that happened early Monday morning, July 29th, 2024.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024 Souris RCMP responded to a call concerning a fire at a cottage property. Eastern Kings Fire Department also responded to the call. While working to extinguish the fire, police found indications the fire may have been deliberately set. As a result, an RCMP Identification Team, along with RCMP Dog Services arrived on scene to assist in the investigation. The PEI Fire Marshall was also involved.
