Shippagan — Update: Missing 54-year-old woman

Update, July 3, 2024: Residents of Inkerman and St-Simon, police have reason to believe that Guylaine Dugas, 54-years-old, missing from Shippagan since June 30, 2024, could be in your area. She was last seen walking on the cycling trail towards Inkerman. Police are asking residents to check their properties for any sign of the missing woman, or anything that may appear out of place. If you have been on the cycling trail since Sunday and have seen the missing person, or have information on the whereabouts of Guylaine Dugas, please contact the Lamèque RCMP at 506-344-2006.

Update, July 1, 2024: Residents in the Shippagan region can expect an increased police presence today, as the Northeast District RCMP, RCMP specialized policing services such as Police Dog Services (PDS), RCMP Air Services, and local ground search and rescue teams, conduct searches for Guylaine Dugas. Police are also asking residents to check their properties for any sign of the missing woman, or anything that may appear out of place. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Guylaine Dugas is asked to contact the Lamèque RCMP at 506-344-2006.

The Lamèque RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 54-year-old woman from Shippagan, N.B.

Guylaine Dugas was last seen on June 30, 2024, at approximately 1 p.m., walking west, near a gas station on 1er Rue in Shippagan. She was reported missing to police the same day. Police have followed up on several leads to try and locate her, but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and her family are concerned for her wellbeing.

Guylaine Dugas is described as being approximately 5 feet 5 inches (165 centimetres) tall, and weighing approximately 200 pounds (91 kilograms). She has blue eyes, short grey hair, and wears glasses. She was last seen wearing a beige shirt and beige pants with a sparkle design at the bottom.
