HOUSTON, TX—FBI Houston’s Violent Crime Task Force is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a man dubbed the “Be Right Back Bandit” who committed a robbery in northwest Houston. Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the robber.
The robbery occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Frost Bank located at 13191 Northwest Freeway in Houston. During the robbery, the suspect entered the bank and approached a teller inquiring about opening an account. Upon being asked for identification, the suspect stated, “I’ll be right back,” and walked back towards the front door of the bank. At the front door, the suspect confronted a security guard, turned around while pulling out a firearm, ran back to the bank teller and demanded cash. The suspect fled on foot southbound on Hollister Road with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.
The robber is described as a black male in his late 30s, approximately 5’10” tall, with a medium build and beard. During the robbery he wore a beige hooded sweatshirt, black basketball shorts, and a black medical mask.
